As D. Fong’s Chinese Cuisine in Savage celebrates its seventh year of business, it is easy to understand why this restaurant has become a popular stop for so many customers. D. Fong’s owner, David Fong Jr., carries on the tradition of serving his customers high quality food and great service, a tradition learned while working in his family’s restaurant, David Fong’s in Bloomington. The Bloomington restaurant was opened in 1958 by David’s parents, David Sr. and Helen Fong, who are still involved in making sure that their customers receive only the very best.

Though smaller than the main restaurant in Bloomington, D. Fong’s in Savage (just three miles west of Burnsville center) serves many of the same Cantonese dishes customers have grown to love. D. Fong’s has several specialties including Sesame Chicken, General Tao Chicken, Shrimp Lo Mein, Beef Broccoli, and Sweet & Sour Shrimp. Their Popular Chow Mein, a long time favorite, is a recipe handed down from David’s Great-grandfather that has served generations of Fong customers.

D. Fong's offers delicious dine-in or take out orders, authentically prepared utilizing time-honored cooking techniques and only the freshest vegetables, red meats, seafood or poultry. Orders are prepared as they come in and spiced to your liking. Since your order is not prepared until you are ready to enjoy it, D. Fong’s staff is happy to customize it to your taste, and serve it steaming hot.

Stop in and let D. Fong’s wait-staff serve you in their friendly dining room. The prices at D. Fong’s range from four to five dollars for most of the appetizers and between 8 to10 dollars for the main entrees. During lunch D. Fong's offers a variety of combination plates that should satisfy most anyone’s taste. On the evening menu the Family Dinners are a very good value offering soup, appetizers, fried rice, and a choice of entrees for just $9.95 per person.

Their hours are Monday thru Saturday from 11:00am to 9:00pm and are closed on Sunday. They are located at the intersection of Joppa Avenue/Glendale road and County Road 42 in Savage.
